Popstar!

The first collaboration of me with my younger brother AKA – Akay and my first music video. Here we took one of his best tracks from his mixtape and I wrote, shot, directed and edited this video. A mammoth task, believe me- it took ages. But the result was great, a coherent story and enough to keep you hooked to the end – and of course – a banging tune! Take a look and enjoy!
All of Us

I created this image back in 2001, when what would have been the Golden Age of my creative career. A time when I had what seemed like an unstoppable flow of creativity, but not much efficiency with the technical programs. These days it seems to be the other way round! This image of me and my house mates, based on the works of one of my favourite artists Alphose Mucha, seemed to encompass what we were doing at the time. The entire piece was created in Macromedia Flash and then exported into Adobe Photoshop where some image filters were added. For some reason, using Adobe Illustrator was far too daunting as I obviously knew how to use Flash better then.
I remember placing a lot of detail in the foreground elements (the rose in the woman’s hair for instance), as these were the first bits I drew. When the time came for me to create the background, I had obviously had enough and opted for something far simpler.
